I was already fairly down the journey in terms of Financial Independence - so that wasn't new. I was spreadsheet based - tracking basic stuff like net worth at a very high level. Had a good handle on our budget and what we spent. Gave us a good picture of where we were.

But we couldn't work out the future modelling - we know what we have now - but we don't know how long it will last etc. I'd tried a bunch of simple calculators, but they just weren't comprehensive enough. Couldn't model all the different expenses. Canwi prompted us with questions about things like buying a car vs holidays... Easy to miss stuff with spreadsheet.

I have been to a financial planner - 10 years ago... I found so many mistakes in the document they sent me - there was mistakes everywhere - assumptions i disagreed with... I couldn't trust their numbers.

Didnt want to spend 5-6 grand for it - not 5-6k value from it with an advisor. Probably the thing i wanted most was confidence in the numbers.

When i put all my numbers in - i saw this Family Tax Benefit thing in the projections. I reached out to Cam to go there's an error in the software - this thing is telling me the government is going to give me 12k a year... i didnt think i'd qualify for it.

We would have never even known we qualified for [it]. But we're now being paid ~$700/fortnight - that's paid for the software 10 times over already.

We wanted to retire early - but 3-4 years away. Brought our numbers forward by 3-4 years.

I now get to spend all the time with the kids now, i get every day at home with the kids - i do school drop offs, school pick ups... We can now focus on how we want our life to work for us. We can design life how we want it not just the typical path.
